We understand they easily become filthy bad habits. But no arm patches needed, just add Charlatan into you’re life and you’re sorted. We update the site daily, and yes even at weekends to keep you in the know!

Based in the UK, we support the best home-grown talent – from the unknown seeds on the underground, to lofty superstars at the top of the pop-culture tree. You may be surprised to hear it, but Charlatan love is totally Universal. Set aside any thoughts of snobbery, because we welcome men, women and drooling babies to the Charlatan party.

Our guest list is deeper than a porn-stars libido, but we pride ourselves on offering everyone a passport to our unique world, which offers more than just pink nail polish and boy-talk.

Ellis Scott exhibition

Our good friend ellis who shot our first shoot is having his first solo show! The private view is tomorrow but it runs until the 20th September, so if you cant see it tomorrow then you have no excuse!

The full write up:
“Digitaria are proud to announce the launch of Scott’s first solo show debuting his reportage work.

Ellis Scott is a London based photographer working predominantly in fashion and reportage. He regularly contributes to magazines such as Dazed and Confused, in both the UK and Japan, ID, Creative Review, Marmalade and Pix Zine. Since 2005 Scott has been making a name for himself as a documenter of the London club scene, shooting nights such as Anti Social and All You Can Eat. As a result of these outings he began a working relationship with performance artist Scottee, with whom he has produced a book, due for release in late 2009, which documents their photo shoots and reportage images from the past 4 years. In 2006 Scott shot half of the Spring/Summer 2007 Alexander McQueen McQ campaign, art directed by Nicola Formichetti, which appeared on billboards and in magazines globally. Later that year, Formichetti, as the new Creative Director of Dazed and Confused, asked Scott to start contributing to the magazine. Dazed and Confused has featured many of his images since, including a 10 page spread covering the “Love Noise” Converse rock tour of China. In 2008 Scott graduated from the London College of Fashion with a BA degree in Fashion Photography. In February 2009, after being featured by Gareth Pugh in Time Out as one of London’s “New Young Fashion Elite”, he shot Pugh’s Autumn/Winter Womenswear Lookbook. At present, Scott is putting the finishing touches to his book with Scottee and preparing for future exhibitions.

Private View:
Thursday 6th August
6pm – 9pm

Digitaria London, 60 Berwick St, Soho W1, London, United Kingdom.

Mon – Sat from 11 – 7pm”

A little bit “cult”-ish but I like…

hypemeansnothing

I stumbled across this interesting brand by surfing the virtual waves of the internet whilst I’ve been bed bound by the dreaded Swine Flu. Maybe if I’d never wrote that blog post about “This little piggy went to mexico” karma wouldn’t have come and bit me in the ass and forced me to knock back two Tamiflu a day for a week…

Anyway…

These lovely t-shirt designs come courtesy of a french brand called ‘Hype Means Nothing’.

It’s really just celebrities and public figures holding their fingers up to their face and making a pair of glasses, quite simple when you think about it but still, I dig it.

Check out their website for links to their blog, gallery, stockists and buying online:
